It was originally founded in 2018 by Nick Rimsa of Tortoise Labs – a startup studio in Maine, USA. Unfortunately, the original concept as a mobile app didn’t take off so it was time to reimagine the platform.
In 2022, the 99 Robots team led by Charlie Patel acquired Eariously. Since then, they have invested heavily into relaunching the product as a web-based text-to-speech platform for educators, publishers / news organizations, podcasters, bloggers, and video creators.
